Explorers Research Project - 5th grade.
After curriculum discussions with the 5th grade social studies teacher it was clear he would like students to learn about explorers during Library class. The common core suggests that students learn about a wide array of explorers, so we did!
Students began by asking questions. Then they gathered resources and information. Sources were recorded along with notes. Once research was "complete," students selected their favorite facts to include in an animoto video. Images were collected and stored on the desktop for easy access. |
Animoto Lesson Plan - Grades 4 and up.
Click on the link above to learn more about the research process for this animoto video. This activity was one that I joined mid-way through when I began my internship at Donald P. Sutherland elementary school. I collaborated with the librarian and added the animoto component to the activity for students who would finish promptly. |
